Price climbs up and quality doesn’t follow

Writing a feedback here as in the platform we are only allowed to write a 255 length message. It is really nice to have profiles protected by a pin, gives us a kind of individual privacy in terms of what we are watching in the platform, but I think there is something missing in here. Profiles can be pin-protected but the account itself is not … anyone who has the password to access Disney+ has also access to account settings. I believe that the account setting should be also pin-protected as we have there personal information and financial information. Disney+ is getting more expensive every year, I remember to pay €59.90 annually back in 2020, now in 2024 it jumped to €119.90 which is nonsense for a service that does not have a friendly interface, for a service that seems to force certain movies/shows on us, like Taylor Swift and The Kardashians for example, these are self promotion shows of who is already rich and famous to be richer and more famous, why don’t you guys do a series about me then, I guarantee that I have a few good stories and trick to present, and also I could make some good use of an extra little money from royalties as well. Why Taylor Swift? Why not AC/DC, RollingStones, or any other good rock n’roll band, and please do not underestimate the meaning behind the word “good” (normally confused as popular). In four years, Disney+ has doubled the price for the streaming service but it did not double the service quality, actually in my opinion, the quality walked down a little in the opposite direction. The app does not have a friendly interface and it hasn’t changed that much since the launch of the service. The quantity of boring movies/shows, I mean: not attractive and/or interesting movies/shows is reasonable big, there is not a busy agenda about releases of new movies/shows, and sometimes when a good movie/show is expected in the platform you guys charge us extra in a service that we already pay … "premiere" nonsense, if I want to watch ahead I would go to the cinema, which by the way is cheaper. The user interface is kind of out-of-date, nothing new and totally alike Netflix and Prime Video. The menu line at the top, in my personal opinion would be better if positioned along the lefthand side (on TV), or at least having it as an option to personalise the app interface in settings. First line, the big banner, where the displayed movies/shows move too fast becoming kind of annoying. Second line, the channels, in the way it is presented is kind of useless and seems to take so much space in the interface visual, would be better to have it at the very top. Repetition, repetition, repetition … the app shows the same movie/show over and over and over again (only scrolling down the page), I can see the same movie/show at “Recommended for you”, at “New to Disney+” and then at “Continue watching”, then again at “Originals”, also in “Action and Adventure” and so on … if it new to Disney+ then stay there displayed in the banner line for let’s say a week (more than enough), Continue watching, please move it to the menu line makes much more sense there. Original is something that does not make sense at all once the majority of movies/shows are original, if for any reason you guys believe differently it is already in the menu line, the stripe line is unnecessary, only pollutes the layout. Here the most important thing, in one hand all these many repetitions makes me feel uncomfortable, I feel like Disney+ is imposing what I should watch instead of setting me free to decide; in the other hand makes me doubt about the quality of the service and the library size. To bring new movies/shows is important as to give value the old ones, and instead of the so many repetition of one movie/show have the good old ones displayed as well. Consider to make the interface layout more clean and easier to navigate. By the way, having an in-app release calendar with an option of reminder would be really nice-great to see. The search tool is horrible, it could give us something a little more complex, for example, an option to distinguish between movies, series, animation, shows, and etc. but simples as a tickbox would do, search results are often imprecise and polluted, perhaps the option to search in a specific year frame time and so on … the way it is now, the search tool is very poor. Finally, comparing Disney+ with Netflix and Prime Video, streaming services that I have a subscription as well, on TV specifically, it seems that Disney+ is a heavier app, takes more time to load; movies/shows freeze more often and stop playing which is really annoying, while this rarely happens on Netflix and Prime video (considering and having in mind that the internet band/speed is exactly the same for all the three in the same TV device), sometimes the movie/show does not load at all forcing us to watch something else on Netflix or Prime Video. Well, I hope that Disney+ can take any of the above in count and make some nice-real-good changes in the app/service for a near future, otherwise the way it is now and with the escalation of the prices for the app I doubt to remain a subscriber for another year as the service is not pleasant as it used to be in the past.
