Well, that's what Mr Speaker! does . Simply select the screen area to read and choose from a selection of voices, sit back and listen. ...and did we mention it can also read text from most images ? Yep. The macOS app is designed to be very simple to use with accessibility in mind. Languages currently supported: English / Italian / French / German / Portuguese / Spanish and using a variety of voices and accents. With this release, you get 22 voices. All included for free. Choose the correct language for the corresponding text for better quality, native-sounding voice (unless you want to hear how a person with accent X speaks language Y) Highly recommend you watch the short demo videos to see simplicity & beauty in action. You will need to give the app access to screen reading. This is done via System Preferences -> Privacy. The app will guide you through this process.
